The quality of the sawn timber is assessed with an automatic camera grading system that identifies different knot types, as per quality regulations. In addition to knot recognition, several data that influence the quality of the customer’s end product (such as bark pockets, cracks, blue stains and rot) can be identified with the camera grading. The system also enables strict shape measuring.
