The light consistent colour from heartwood to sapwood and the densely ringed appearance of Nordic premium spruce make it a favourite material for interior decorative solutions, exterior cladding and also for constructional solutions. Metsä Wood specialises in sawn timber products and we deliver spruce timber in all recognised commercial dimensions and qualities.
Metsä Wood also produces industrial timber by grading and sorting spruce according to customer specifications. Centre cuts of spruce can be graded according to aspects of sound knot quality, naturally narrow annual rings and relatively small knots. Its unique characteristics and appearance allow spruce to be used in several end uses where high tooling accuracy, aesthetics and strength properties are needed. Our latest special kiln drying technology and expertise enables special kiln drying to be integrated in any product combination. We are also developing special cutting patterns that provide customer solutions.
Metsä Wood continuously look for improvement in product and will share existing technologies whilst working with customers’ own resources to provide solutions utilising our premium Nordic timber.
